I’m a healthy, intelligent, imaginative 41 yr old man.

I’m fully vaccinated and I’m left of centre - politically. Green but drug-free and non vegetarian/open to pescatarianism.

I’m interested in finding a flatmate to move into a 3bdrm next year.

I’m self-studying Design Drawing, 2d Animation and Machinima, Figma and Art Direction. I’m also learning digital colouring in Photoshop and comic pencilling/storyboarding. I’m an emerging indie game dev/tabletop game writer - working on two games with teams, and four solo projects (including a interactive visual novel and an fmv/cinematic video game), novelist and short fiction writer, non-fiction author (as my bread and butter), playwright, comic writer and (the day job) freelance storyboard artist/level designer/web dev/art director.

At the moment I’m actively pursuing a portfolio piece in games - while simultaneously moving forward with freelancing for filmmakers and indie video game teams, own projects in video games, a patreon, digital theatre, solo creative projects, cartoons and animation.

I have a degree in Creative Writing with a Screenwriting specialisation and merit in short fiction writing, a 1yr cert in Applied Creative Media - Major in Applied Filmmaking on Video. Minors: Theatre and Radio. Including work experience at the TV station as camera operator/sound booth operator. And co-writing, co-producing, performing and touring local schools by bus (theatre.) And a Grad Dip with Honours (2.5yrs/level 6) in Cartooning, 2D Digital Art and Art Direction.

I like to write science fiction, post-modern techno-fantasy, absurd and quirky horror, cerebral indie action-drama, epic horror and morbidly introverted dramatic stories. and experimental genre-bending stories and games.

I have a varied sense of humour, from caustic and self-flagellating to morbid, absurd, goofy, intellectual satire, slapstick, obscure and silly. I like to have a few drinks occasionally, but not often or even every week. I’m a bit of always working on something, but I’m very social.

I have a PS3 and 2 emulator consoles for ps1, sega, snes, mame, etc. retro video gaming. I want to get a ds lite for outings. And a ps1 classic mini to mod also for win98 gaming. I’m a big fan of getting a snack from the dairy and going for random explorings - having a portable with me for that would be cool. I have a decent DVD collection. but I do watch a fair bit of appletv, netflix, neon and sometimes iwonder (for docos). I like to read occasionally but I have free internet radio (sometimes spotify premium) as my main music system. Although I do still keep music cds, I’m more likely to watch a dvd.

I can cook - favourite meals to cook are spag bol, cauliflower cheese fettuccini or mac and cheese with homemade sauce, Gordon Ramsay’s baby turnip surprise with lamb schnitzel and butterscotch banana pudding for dessert, yemista with wedges and bread dumplings, chicken lasagna, slow cooker recipes, eggs, stirfry chicken, but I haven’t baked anything before. I’d love to try making a tandoori pizza and smoked salmon quiche.

Ideal flatmate is 20s-50yrs. Creative people would be great!
