We are a couple in our 30s looking for a friendly and sociable flatmate for our cute two-bedroom house.

It’s conveniently located on Waimea Rd, not far from the hospital, a quick bike ride from Nelson, and on the road to Stoke and Richmond.

The house is recently renovated with a new bathroom and kitchen. It is fully insulated and double glazed, so even though the house is on Waimea Rd, the room is quiet. The room is approx. 3.9 by 2.9m and has a new built-in wardrobe.

There’s only one bathroom in the house which is why we’re ideally looking for just one person rather than a couple.

This person would ideally be a non-smoker who is tidy and enjoys sharing the occasional meal together. We aren’t able to accommodate a cat but might consider someone with a dog.

Rent is $195 per week. Bills are $25 a week (fibre wifi, water, electricity, gas cooking, and house staples such as cleaning products/toilet paper etc.)

We have a secure bike storage shed and there is on street parking.

The room is available now, but we are looking for the right person so can negotiate the move-in date. Pets negotiable, no smokers.

We are reasonably eco-minded (recycling, compost etc.) and there’s a generous garden that you’d be welcome to help with if that’s your thing. This isn’t a party house but we do like hosting the occasional potluck dinner with friends and you’d be welcome to do the same.

One of us is a vegetarian and we would be happy to negotiate a system for buying shared veggies and basic food staples if you’re interested.

Both of us work from home and there is a separate studio in the garden that we use for our office. If you need office space we can discuss making room for you in the studio at an extra cost.
