FLATMATE WANTED - Large room (plus private sunroom) Northcote - $260 per week

We are looking for a new flatmate to fill one large room (plus sunroom) in our existing flat.

Rent: $260 per week.

Available: Immediately

Unfortunately, Covid and lockdown have meant some hard times for a couple of our flatmates who are moving in with their parents for the time being so we’ve got some space to fill.

Location: Northcote on the North Shore. 3 minute drive to the motorway, and about a minute to the Northcote shops (supermarket and other takeaways). Close to town and public transport (there’s a bus stop right outside our house), and walking distance to AUT North Campus. We’re in an awesome, peaceful neighbourhood on a street that’s well back from the main road.  It’s super quiet here and we have an amazing view overlooking the Tuff Crater reserve.  There are plenty of parks nearby and great running/walking routes in the area and it’s a very short drive to the beach as well.

House: The house is gorgeous! It feels big, yet cosy. It’s warm and dry in the winter and has high ceilings and hardwood floors. There are skylights, huge windows that allow for plenty of light as well as big glass doors that open up to the deck. Perfect for summer!

It’s two stories (living areas upstairs, bedrooms downstairs), with four bedrooms, a huge lounge, laundry (including washing machine), bathroom (with shower and bath) to be shared with just two others- master bedroom has a separate bathroom, full kitchen with all the usual amenities (including dishwasher), and a big deck (with BBQ) and backyard with garden that get all day sun.

Room: We have one large room available. It has its own large solarium with a walkout to the backyard garden. Heaps of natural light and space! The room is unfurnished but the rest of the house has everything you need.

There is also a smaller bedroom (plus optional private office) that will be available soon in early Mid November for $230 p/w

Flatmates: We currently have two male flatmates in our 20’s and 30’s. Everyone is respectful, very tidy, friendly and easy going, with a good sense of humour. We’d like any new flatmates to be tidy, considerate and is easy to get along with. While we are fairly social this is not a party flat.  No anti vaxxers please.

Parking: Off street parking available.

Move in costs: 4 weeks bond required ($1,040) + 1 week rent in advance ($260) = $1,300 total

Expenses: Paid monthly, split equally between flatmates. This usually costs around $80 each per month, which includes power, water, super fast internet (fibre), gas (for the stove), washing machine hire, and other misc communal household things such as toilet paper, cleaning supplies, basic kitchen supplies (paper towels, salt and pepper etc).
