About the room
The Sanctuary is a sunny, spacious home on a large section (1000m²) in Mt Albert.
The main house has four bedrooms, which is home to one woman, two men, and a lovely ginger cat. Below the house is a granny flat which is home to two women, one man, and a black tuxedo cat. No more pets welcome.
In the main house, the bathroom is shared with just 2 people, and the spacious kitchen is shared with just 3.
Each of the bedrooms are named after birds native or endemic to Aotearoa.
The Kokako room with its large, east-facing window, will be available Monday 21st November.
$240 per week - bond $960 (four weeks rent)
Included is a free-standing wooden wardrobe & coat-hangers.
Expenses are are flat rate of $40pw per person. This covers unlimited fibre internet, reasonable power and water use, lawn and garden maintenance, and communal eco-supplies (tree-free toilet paper, ecostore hand-soap, dish-washing liquid & powder, laundry powder, rubbish bags, cleaning products, etc).
All living areas of the house are upstairs where the spacious, laid out open-plan captures sunshine and stunning views. The lounge has a wood burner & heat pump, and the kitchen/dining flows to the north facing balcony which has a motorised awning to provide shade or shelter. The house is plushly carpeted.
Plenty of street parking is available, and a park in the driveway could be available upon negotiation if absolutely necessary.
The Sanctuary is on Kitenui Ave; close to multiple bus stops, train stations and motorways.
Just a short walk away are: small supermarket, cafés, takeaways, dairy, gym, park, pool, maunga, massage, petrol station, barber, and St Lukes mall.
About the roomies
Current flatmates are a mix of ethnicities, religions, sexualities, and ages, and we welcome further diversity! Most of us are in our thirties, with one in her early fifties.
