1 double bedroom available in 2 bedroom cottage in the heart of Lyttelton. Only 2 mins walk from London St and a short drive over the hills to Sumner beach.

I have furnished the house already and the room is available any time from now. All you will need to bring is furniture for your room and of course anything else you want to add to make yourself at home. The cottage is very cosy, with a sunny deck off the lounge and a porch in the front. The garden is a real sanctuary, including flower garden, fruit trees and vege beds - perfect playground for someone with a green thumb. There is no garage, but a drive way and plenty of on street parking (flat area). For storage there are a couple of sheds in the garden.

I am renting directly from the local landlords. The total rent for the cottage is 490/week, so rent for the room will be 225 - 245 (the latter if you wfh too), 300 for a couple. Bills are on top (fibre + power). The room is available any time from now, with 2 weeks rent in advance and 2 weeks bond.

You will be sharing with only one other person - female, 30s, friendly, clean and considerate. I am mostly working from home (pretty standard office hours) and I live here with my big 2 year old labX. He is super friendly, but still young and learning, so you must love dogs. I enjoy the outdoors, yoga and the arts, generally living a pretty healthy lifestyle. I am social and always up for a good chat, but I value my me time too.

I am looking for a like-minded, clean, reliable and considerate female to share this house with. Perfect place for someone looking for a home. Not suitable for people looking for a party place. I would consider a couple, if you both work full time. No shift workers please, sorry.
