Auckland rentals getting you down? Can’t afford a place on your own but tired of waiting for the bathroom; noisy roommates, cleaning woes?

I have the solution to your problems! Pay a lttle more & move into a cute two-bedroom settler’s cottage. Set back off the road it’s small but beautiful. Open plan living area with polished wooden floors. French doors open to a sunny front porch; a great spot for a lazy afternoon! Elevated sea views in the distance.

Lots of windows mean it’s bright & airy while full insulation & double-glazing keep it quiet & cozy. Fully furnished with a well-equipped kitchen, washing machine, clothesline (& dryer) - all you need. No TV though. Gas hot water and cook top. Quick and easy to clean.

There is a small lawn to mow; a task we can share or hire someone if preferred

Your room is a double with a built-in closet for storage. It has a leafy garden outlook & gets plenty of morning sun. Fits a queen bed and more; customize it to suit your needs. Unfurnished but the bedside cabinet & mirror can stay if desired, plus there is the option of a king bed.

Walking distance to the Birkenhead shops. Bus routes at the end of the road, easy motorway access. Takapuna and the city are a short drive/ferry ride away. There will be traffic - this is Auckland, after all - but you’ll spend less time in it.

No pets, sorry. You’re welcome to live vicariously through my wee critter :)

I’m a professional mature woman, working full-time. Vegetarian, practice yoga, tread lightly on the earth - you get the picture.smile. I’m not obsessive or preachy about it though! I’m quiet by nature but friendly, too :)

The cottage is home rather than a party spot; a peaceful sanctuary in which to relax and chill.

Oh, and my “roommate” is a young cat. She’s full of energy; will happily play or just snuggle up on your lap.
