About the room

Housemate wanted from early December ☺️

The sunny, light and airy house is located in the popular Mount Maunganui area and a 4 minute walk to the thriving Bayfair Shopping Centre, 10 minutes walk to the beach and less than a 10 minute drive (or 15 minute cycle!) to all the great restaurants in The Mount.

There is an open plan living and kitchen space. There is one bathroom with a bath and shower, and a separate toilet. There is also a garage, outside garden and deck area, including an outside shower for rinsing off after a great day at the beach. The house has a heat pump/aircon unit. It is part furnished and includes a sofa, table and chairs, fridge/freezer and washing machine. The furniture in the photos is different and it’d be great to make the place homely with our new roomie!

The room is dual aspect and light and bright. It is the biggest bedroom in the house and effectively ensuite with a door directly into the bathroom and another into the living room. There is a built in wardrobe but no other furniture.

We would love to live with someone who is a professional in their late 20s or 30s, and is up for hanging out as well as enjoying their own space.

Full disclosure! We’re more the early to bed (10pm ish 😴), head into nature, play board games and have a social drink types - so our ideal housemate will be a bit more settled, working 9 - 5 (ideally not from home as we both work from home and space is a bit tight) and share a similar outlook. Not a party house 😅 but a social one!

Please note, unfortunately our tenancy agreement doesn’t allow pets or smokers.

Any questions, just get in touch :).

About the roomies

You would be sharing the house with one male and one female housemate (couple) who are both professionals in their 30s. We moved from the UK in September last year and were living up in Whangarei till last month. One works remotely and is running his financial technology startup and the other is a doctor who is working regular hours at the public health unit.

We are both friendly, down to earth and love being out in nature from camping trips, to walking and attempting to surf. We had a housemate back in the UK for 4 years and loved hanging out and doing joint meals, but also giving each other space.
