Looking for individuals aged 24-35 years with flatting and ‘life’ experience

2 ROOMS available in Te Atatu South BOARD - $80p/w (All inclusive) BOND - $160.00
We need 2 positive, practical and supportive flatmates aged between 24-35 years to live with other young adults aged 16-21 years who are learning how to flat and live independently.
ARE YOU: -working or studying at the moment? -able to make your flat ‘home’ and care about its culture and your flatties? -able to get involved with weekly dinner prep, food shopping and cleaning? -someone who would enjoy listening, talking, doing things ’with“ not ‘for’ your younger flatmates? -capable of role modelling positive life-skills for younger flatmates to learn alongside you? -patient?
THIS IS NOT A CAREGIVING ROLE.
ESSENTIAL: -Time and willingness to prioritize the flat in your life -Capacity to “care-about” young adult flatmates by being actively ‘present’ when at home. -Previous flatting or independent living experience
HIGHLY VALUED: -Knowledge and connection to te ao Maori and/or Pasifika cultures -Connection to local community and already settled in Aotearoa New Zealand
WE PROVIDE: a partially furnished private room, shared bathroom, furnished flat, weekly food budget, internet, Netflix, power, water, developmental and social opportunities.
All flatmates are supported by staff who do not live in the flats as this is a programme run through The Salvation Army. No pets or smokers.
About the roomies
Your flatties will be another older flatmate, aged twenty-four to thirty six (approximately), who should be working or studying and up to three young adults aged sixteen to twenty one years old.
