Room available now in our cosy 3-bd, 2-bath home in Kelburn.

Double room with inbuilt storage and plenty of space for extra shelving/drawers, desk, etc. There’s also a tonne of additional storage throughout the house. You’ll be sharing a bathroom with one other person (although there’s a separate toilet). The room is not furnished but the rest of the house is.

The house is a beautifully-maintained character villa, tucked away at the end of a quiet street. We have a big deck with a beautiful view northeast over Kelburn and out to the harbour (and the Tararuas on a clear day), a huge lawn, and an off-street carport currently occupied only by my little scooter. The house has ducted central heating and is bathed in sun from morn ’til eve (when it’s out).

We’re near two bus routes and walking distance to Kelburn village, Vic Uni, Zealandia, the Botans, trails in all directions, and native birds everywhere.

The room is 280/wk, and bond contribution is $926.66. We each pay $30/wk which covers energy, internet, & communal supplies year-round.

Us: You’ll be living with Josie (31F), a microbiologist at Vic Uni, who is active and busy, but home-loving when here, and Charlotte (30sF), a government content designer (mostly WFH), who’s independent and friendly.

You: Looking for people that will treat the space as their home. Mature, tidy, considerate, etc. Preferably 30+. LGBTQIA+ friendly. This is definitely a quiet place (not a party home) and it’s very easy to keep to yourself if that’s what you prefer, but it would be nice to connect with each other as well.
