Hi im matt im from England but ive been living in NZ for the last 5 years and am a resident here now, ive just moved to Nelson from Wellington.

I work i hospo and have done for years which i think in part has made it super easy for me to meet new people and have a chat. I always like to make an effort to become friends or at least friendly with all my housemates, it always makes it a better experience in my opinion.

I think im a balance of introvert and extrovert i love being sociable, a trivia night or boards game, having friends over for food and a movie but i also really value my own time and space. I love to read and am always trying to learn new things through this and my favourite podcasts. My reading is pretty varied ive recently finished, Sapiens, Thursday murder club, Noughts and crosses and Why buddhism is true. My health is becoming a bigger and bigger part of my life so i love to do yoga, exercise (running and muay thai mostly), meditate, journal and im vegan although im fine living with meat eaters. Also a huge animal lover i used to volunteer at the SPCA and hope to do so again so any homes with pets would be a real bonus.

I think the most important thing about having a good flat share is to be compassionate and empathetic and realise that everyone does life a little differently and be open to working with each other on what that means
