Hi 😊 I’m Sarah Jade. I’m 27 and currently studying Psychology. I’m looking for a long-term place that feels calm, respectful, and easy to live in while I continue my studies.

I’m hoping to find a room or small apartment close to AUT City Campus or AUT North Campus, ideally within around 15–20 minutes’ drive, with parking available.

My ideal budget is up to $300 per week including utilities, but I’m flexible for the right place if it has parking, clear bills, and a well-maintained home. I’d strongly prefer utilities to be included in the rent, or for bills to be organised in a clear and predictable way, as budgeting consistency is important to me.

Location-wise, I’m mainly looking around the North Shore, including Northcote, Hillcrest, Glenfield, Birkenhead, Takapuna, Milford, and Forrest Hill. I’m also open to city-fringe areas such as Grafton, Eden Terrace, Mt Eden, Ponsonby, Grey Lynn, and Newton, but only if parking is included or easy.

I’m a tidy, respectful, and reliable person who values a peaceful home environment. I enjoy going to the gym, walking, gardening, and cooking/baking when the kitchen is functional. I like a balance between friendly chats and personal downtime, and I’m very mindful of other people’s space.

I’m ideally looking for a calm 2–4 person flat, preferably with older or working/studying women, utilities included, parking available, and clear cleaning expectations.

Things that are important to me in a home are:

• Clear and respectful communication
• Regular cleaning habits or a fair chore system
• A functional, fully equipped kitchen
• A decent laundry setup and washing machine
• A bathroom setup where the toilet is separate from the shower/bathroom, if possible
• Low clutter in shared spaces
• Flatmates who are considerate, reliable, and respectful of shared spaces

I’m independent and easygoing, but I do best in a home that has basic structure, mutual respect, and common courtesy. I always pay rent on time and like contributing to a home where everyone feels comfortable and safe.
