Lena and Richard & Lena

Hi there! We are Richard and Lena and since November in Ōtautahi. Richard is a German brewmaster specialized in Kombucha and Lena an Occupational Therapist, but working here in tree planting and studying for Dance Movement Therapy. Between the two of us, we have travelled and lived in a number of different countries and places mostly in Europe. Finland, France, Bulgaria and Scotland among them. The last European summer we’ve spend exploring Scandinavia and Finland by bicycle. We enjoy outdoor activities, music, cooking and a number of other things. Richard is a geek about fermentation and also somewhat nerdy about bicycles. Lena likes handcrafting (mostly working with textile and yarn) and as part of her studies with a big interest in topics related to the body and mental health. When not travelling, we’ve been living in community oriented shared flats and houses and enjoyed that very much. When Richard was working in Finland, he was living there in an off-grid commuity. For the rest of our stay here (at least until Nov 26), we’d love to find a home that we can share with nice people.
