Hi! Iā€™m Mel, a full-time professional working in Sydenham. I have a background in biological sciences and currently work in catering.

Outside of work, I love outdoor activities, road trips and keeping a relaxed, balanced lifestyle at home. Iā€™m looking for a comfortable, bright room in a clean and well-maintained house.

-What Iā€™m looking for (Non-negotiables):

Bathroom: Strictly an ensuite or private bathroom.

Light & Space: A sunny/bright room is a huge plus, ideally in a house with a garden, outdoor space, or a nice backyard.

Location: Within a 15-minute drive to Sydenham (open to suburbs slightly further from the CBD like Cashmere, Beckenham, Spreydon, Saint Martins, Opawa, Hoon Hay, or surrounding areas if the house offers a bit more space/nature).

Budget: $230 - $260/week (flexible depending on amenities/bills).

Move-in date: Flexible ā€” Iā€™m currently settled, so Iā€™m taking my time to find the right fit.

-What Iā€™m like as a flatmate:

Clean & Respectful: I naturally keep shared spaces tidy and pull my weight with house chores.

Reliable & Routine-oriented: Always prompt with rent and bills. I work early morning shifts during the week, so Iā€™m naturally quiet at night and respect house quiet hours.

Easygoing: Independent and respect personal space, but always up for a good chat, tea, or a shared meal now and then (I enjoy cooking)

No pets (though Iā€™m more than happy to live with animals!).
