I’m Michael, an accountant (Financial Controller level), no longer working full-time but take on interesting one-off contracts to keep my eye in. Originally from the UK, I arrived in Auckland in 2004. I moved to Brisbane at the end of 2024 and have spent the last 18 months there with my son (he moved here three years ago), but have now returned to Auckland – I play club tennis and am taking up golf again, and the facilities in Auckland are better. As well as sports, I enjoy films and socialising around the dinner table or out on the deck over a glass of wine. I have no special dietary requirements and enjoy cooking – for myself, or a communal dinner at the weekend. I enjoy living with all sorts of people – provided they’re tidy, open-minded and respectful of communal spaces. $450 per week, would prefer sharing with one other person (two, at most). Large (queen/king) bedroom with bed, own bathroom. Parking would be nice.
