Hi! I’m Chiara, a 28yo PhD student from Italy coming to Nelson for a research stay at Cawthron, arriving late August and staying between 6 months and a year. I study the effects of climate change on marine animals. I speak Italian, English, Spanish and Portuguese, and I’ve lived in several different countries, which has made me pretty adaptable and easy to live with. Outside the lab I love volleyball, beachvolley, hiking, diving, and pretty much anything outdoors. I’m a social and outgoing person, happy to have people over for dinner or just chilling after a long day, whatever the flatmates prefer. I have no allergies and I love animals.
