Hello, this is Justus.

I am currently looking for a new place to stay in New Plymouth as I am moving for my PhD research.

A bit about myself: I am a 25-year-old queer doctoral student going into a year of fieldwork in Taranaki. I started my PhD in Social Anthropology last year and am expecting to complete my fieldwork in a year’s time. This means I will have New Plymouth as my base for at least 12 months. My research inquires into Taranaki Maunga’s legal personhood and the realities of the envisioned co-governance paradigm. After my year in Taranaki is up, I will have to return to Edinburgh to write up my thesis.

I am a relatively quiet person, but once I get to know people I am quite sociable and enjoy spending quality time with my flatmates, including cooking together and having movie or creative nights. On weekends, and whenever the weather permits, I also love hiking and wild swimming :)) Other than that I spend most of my spare time going for walks, reading or watching TV, though I also enjoy the occasional pub night.
