Kia ora :) I’m a 24-year-old Master’s student from Hamburg, Germany, and I’m very happy to be moving to Dunedin for six months to carry out my Master’s thesis at the University of Otago. Ideally, I’d love to find a place within walking distance of a surf beach, although I’m not sure how realistic that is.

I’m looking for a clean, quiet and cosy place to call home during my stay. I value a healthy and peaceful lifestyle, I’m a non-smoker and don’t drink alcohol. In my free time, I love being outdoors and doing sports like surfing, cycling, swimming, hiking and yoga. I also enjoy spending time with friends, cooking (and eating!), playing the piano, reading and exploring new places.

I’m open to living with people of any age, gender or nationality. What matters most to me is a friendly, respectful and relaxed atmosphere at home (no parties). I enjoy spending time together from time to time, while also appreciating everyone having their own space.

I’m mainly looking to rent a room, but I could also offer a room exchange in Hamburg. My fully furnished room is in a lovely shared apartment in a quiet but very central location, with garden access, close to the Alster lake and only about 10 minutes by bike from the university, with nice cafés, restaurants and shops nearby.
