Quiet and Tidy Student Looking for a Long-Term Room in Parnell or Nearby

We are looking for a comfortable, safe and genuinely long-term home for our quiet, polite and responsible son, who studies in the Parnell area.

He is clean, independent and respectful of other people’s privacy. He does not smoke, vape, drink alcohol or use drugs. He usually spends his time studying, working on his computer or relaxing quietly in his room.

He currently lives successfully with a host in Parnell, but her circumstances have changed, so he needs to find a new long-term home. An excellent reference from his current host can be provided.

We are ideally looking for:

• Parnell, Newmarket, north-western Remuera or northern Epsom • A very clean, safe and peaceful home • A smoke-free, drug-free and party-free household • Only a few quiet, respectful and tidy residents • A naturally bright furnished bedroom with space for a computer desk • Reliable Wi-Fi and good heating • Access to a washing machine and dryer • Some space in the fridge and freezer • Convenient walking distance or one direct bus to the Parnell area • No parking required

Meals are not required, as he can prepare simple meals himself and we can also arrange prepared meals for him. However, we would consider a homestay arrangement with meals if available.

He occasionally travels with his family. During any absence, the room would remain his and rent would continue to be paid in full.

Move-in is preferred during September 2026, although we are happy to wait longer for the right home. His family is based in New Zealand, reliable and punctual payment is guaranteed, and local emergency contacts are available in Auckland.
