Hey! I’m Michael, 28, half Australian, half Greek and I’m originally from Geelong, Australia 🇦🇺

I’ve recently been given the opportunity to work in New Zealand as a Territory Sales professional, which I’m incredibly grateful for. I’ll also be volunteering within the nutrition and sporting industry while I’m over there, so I’m excited to experience a new country while continuing to build my career.

I’d describe myself as friendly, kind, easygoing and pretty low-key. I’m always happy to have a chat, but I also respect everyone’s space and downtime. I’m pet-friendly too!

Outside of work, I like keeping active — I play volleyball and futsal, enjoy tennis, going for walks and generally getting outdoors. My free time will be at the gym at least 5 days a week. I’m also a big sports fan. When I’m having a quieter night, you’ll usually find me meal prepping, cooking, watching a movie or series and exploring a new café or restaurant.

I’m definitely someone who enjoys a good kitchen, so if the house has a big, convenient kitchen, you may have already sold me 😂 From the households I have stayed in, I’d also love to cook for the household from time to time — maybe a weekly dinner to bring everyone together and have a good chat 😊

I’m really looking forward to exploring more of New Zealand. I’ve done plenty of camping and hiking back home and would love to discover more of the country’s towns, cities, culture and amazing nature. Palmerston North would ideally be my home base, and transport won’t be an issue as I’ll have a company car.

I’ll be heading back to Australia for a little while around Christmas and New Year to spend some time with family and friends, but otherwise I’m really excited to make New Zealand home and meet some great people along the way.
