Looking for a comfortable, spacious and welcoming place to call home? We have a large fully furnished bedroom available now in our family home at 119 Church Street, Otahuhu, Auckland. The house is centrally located, just minutes from shops, supermarkets, restaurants, cafés, public transport and motorway access, making it an ideal location for anyone working or studying in Auckland.

The rent is NZ$280 per week, which includes power, water and unlimited Wi-Fi. If you don’t require Wi-Fi, the rent is NZ$260 per week. The move-in cost is only 1 week’s rent plus a 1-week bond, making it affordable and easy to move in.

The room is fully furnished, bright, spacious and ready to move into immediately. The house has a large shared living room and dining room that you’re welcome to use anytime, along with a fully equipped kitchen complete with pots, pans, utensils and everything you need to cook. We are an Indian family who enjoy cooking homemade meals, although we occasionally treat ourselves to takeaways. Whether you’re vegetarian or non-vegetarian, everyone is welcome.

Only two people currently live in the house—my retired mum and myself. I work from home, and we are a friendly, respectful and easy-going family who enjoy a peaceful household. We also have a German Shepherd who lives on the property. She is our family guard dog, so you’ll need to be comfortable around dogs.

The house offers plenty of practical features, including two bathrooms—one with a toilet and another with a bathtub, making it much easier for people getting ready for work in the mornings. There is also a garage available for extra storage, as well as a separate laundry shed with a washing machine for your convenience. Parking is available on the property, and if you smoke, you’re welcome to do so outside in our large backyard and garden. We are also pet friendly, so feel free to discuss your situation with us.

We’re happy to consider both short-term and long-term stays, depending on the right fit. We’re looking for someone who is clean, respectful, friendly and easy to live with, who will enjoy being part of a relaxed household and treat the home as their own.

A little about us 😊

Hi! We’re a friendly, easy-going Indian family originally from London. I grew up in France and have a military background, while my mum is a retired social worker who has dedicated her life to helping others.

At the moment it’s just the two of us living in our spacious 3-bedroom home. I work from home, and my mum enjoys her retirement and keeps busy with her own activities, so it’s a peaceful and relaxed household.

We speak English, French, Hindi, and Urdu, and we’re happy to welcome people from all backgrounds. We enjoy all kinds of food, are respectful of everyone’s lifestyle, and like to keep a clean, comfortable home with a friendly atmosphere.

Smoking is welcome, but we kindly ask that it is only done in the garden.
