About the room
I’m looking for one great flatmate to share my new home in Point Chevalier!
The house is a charming 3-bedroom (or 2 plus a study) home in Point Chev, tucked away in a quiet location but still close to cafés, public transport, and an easy commute into the city.
Features include:
- Your room is Bedroom 2 (shown in the photos)
- Separate study (I’ll be using this as my home office)
- Timber floors throughout except the living area
- Separate laundry that is HUGE!
- Lawns included in the rent
- Off-street parking available
I get the keys on 14th August and am starting with nothing, so I expect the first 1-2 weeks to be chaos, so I have listed the earliest move in date a week later. Since the photos were taken a professional clean and carpet clean has been done.
Ideally you’re:
- Around a similar age (late 20s to early 40s)
- Working full-time - ideally not from home full-time
- Clean, tidy, and respectful of shared spaces
- Must love dogs, I’ve met about 10 people in the last 9 years that haven’t loved Remi, so won’t be a hard task if you like animals!
- Looking for a home rather than just somewhere to sleep
I’d love someone who’s happy to have the occasional chat over dinner or watch a movie now and then, while also respecting each other’s space and independence.
Rent notes: The room is $350 per week plus bills (power, internet, gas and shared household items).
I’ll be paying a higher share of the rent as I’ll have the study, but I’m flexible and happy to discuss the rent split with the right person if there’s a setup that works well for both of us.
If this sounds like it could be a good fit, send me a message telling me a little about yourself, what you do for work, and what you’re looking for in a home!
About the roomies
About me: I’m 35 and work full-time in a finance role for an IT consulting company, based in Newmarket. I generally work from home a couple of days a week and enjoy a pretty relaxed lifestyle outside of work.
You’ll also be living with Remi, my very friendly 9-year-old dachshund. He’s quiet, well-behaved, fully house trained, and spends most weekdays at work with me, so he’s not home all day.
I’m clean and considerate, enjoy the occasional wine or movie night, but this definitely isn’t a party house. I’m looking to create a home that’s relaxed, respectful, and somewhere everyone enjoys coming back to.
