Come live in a beautiful St Heliers in a huge tidy warm home with a sweet cat and a sunny big backyard with a hot jacuzzi.

The house is a 1-minute walk to the bus which is 20-minute direct ride to Auckland CBD (central business district) with stunning ocean views the whole way. It’s close to shops and a lovely beach for walking, sunbathing and swimming. Feel free to use the 2 bikes & 3 kayaks.

I have 3 rooms (availability changes). Each room has a bed & linens, bedside table with lamp, a desk and chair, drawer and closet space, utilities (gas, power, water) included, and unlimited WIFI that is fast & reliable. There is a shared bathroom upstairs and a separate toilet.

The price is:

1. Regular room with single bed: $275 per week (can be removed or switched to double)
2. Large room with double bed: $325 per week
3. Garden room with double bed: private entrance & private bathroom/shower/toilet: $350 per week/$450 for a couple (Garden room is a sleepout - downstairs, 3 meters from the house. Bathroom is your own and private - located in the downstairs of house).

You have full access to the big nice living room and backyard and kitchen. You have your own space in the refrigerator, as well as in the food cupboard.

Currently there are two Auckland university students staying here who are often out. We all get on well and sometimes hang in the kitchen and living room in the evenings. A couple of times we went kayaking and had an outdoor fire with friends.

I am the main tenant, originally from California, living in NZ for 32 years and fluent in English and Spanish. My 4 adult children have grown and flown. I am a tour guide, play pickleball, go to the gym, garden and visit family.

We are all happy to provide privacy and independence, or interaction and involvement, depending on your preferred style.
