Cosy 3m x 3m room (9m2 of floor space) with a queen bed included, in a lovely character home on a quiet Pinehaven street, available now.

The room measures 3m x 3m and fits a queen bed comfortably. The built-in wardrobe is in addition to that floor area - it is not counted in the 9m2, so you keep the full floor space. The bed is the only furniture provided - the room is otherwise unfurnished, so bring your own desk and drawers if you need them.

Being upfront: the carpet has a couple of small marks that won’t come out. Cosmetic only - the room is clean, warm and dry - but I’d rather mention it now than surprise you at the viewing, and the rent reflects it.

What’s included: free Netflix, unlimited fast internet, excellent water pressure, new heat pump dryer and washing machine, a large deck with native bush outlook, and a 55“ TV in the shared lounge with exposed beams.

The house is a 3-bedroom character home with 2 bathrooms. The second bathroom is mid-renovation and will include a spa bath once complete; the main bathroom is fully functional meanwhile.

Location: bus stop 2 min walk, shops 5 min, park and tennis courts 10 min, supermarket and train station close by. Approx. 5-minute drive to Trentham / Rimutaka Prison - handy if you work shifts there.

Pricing, your choice: $230 per week plus a fair one-third share of power, internet and basic household consumables, OR $250 per week all-inclusive. Happy to align your rent payment date to your pay cycle - useful if you’re on shift work.

No surprises: on the $230 option, shared costs are itemised against the actual bill. Move-in is a 3-week bond plus 2 weeks’ rent in advance. Either of us can end the arrangement with 28 days’ notice. I use a written flat-sharing agreement and am happy to send a copy before you view or apply.

No smoking or vaping indoors (outdoors is fine). No cats or dogs due to allergies - other pets negotiable.

Owner-occupied - it’s me plus one other flatmate, so a quiet household of three. We’re tidy, respectful of shared space, and used to rotating shift work, so people coming and going at odd hours is no problem.

Looking for someone tidy, respectful, reliable with rent, and preferably employed. Shift workers genuinely welcome.
