About the room
Perched high on Bluff Hill, our charming 1932 home has ocean views, leafy treetops, and that magical “Napier sunshine” feeling. You’re only a 2‑minute wander from the city’s cafés, bars, waterfront, and walking tracks — with Ahuriri’s beaches and nightlife just around the corner.
The room is huge — sun-drenched, fully furnished, with heat pump/AC and a balcony overlooking the sea. It currently has a queen and a double bed (happy to remove one if you prefer more space for living your best life, or you perhaps want to put in a couch).
We’re a friendly, safe, easy-going household with a teenager who brings fun, music, and good energy — so while we love peace, we’re definitely not a silent monastery. Perfect for travellers, older souls who are young at heart, or nice couples wanting a beautiful, relaxed place to land. Ideally we’re looking for longer term tenants, but are open to shorter term over the Summer.
Price listed is for two people, but we’re happy to chat about a reduced rate for a single-person. ***PLEASE NOTE: The listed pictures are of the old set up, however I can send a video through of the new set up to interested parties. :)
About the roomies
You’ll be living with me (chief chaos coordinator), my brilliant 14‑year‑old son — who oscillates between being hilarious, musical, and occasionally communicating in ancient teenage grunts from deep within his bedroom cave — plus one part‑time flatmate who drifts in Sunday to Wednesday like a friendly mid‑week ghost.
Our two cats are elderly, opinionated, and basically retired comedians. They shuffle around the house like tiny, furry pensioners with strong views on meal times and sunbeams.
The vibe here is cheerful, good‑natured, and lightly sprinkled with laughter. If you’re clean, tidy, happy to share the load, and respectful of a family home — amazing. If you also love cats (especially vintage ones), enjoy music, appreciate kids, and can giggle at life’s weird little moments while still loving your own space — you’re basically our unicorn.
I work from home, so the ideal flatmate/s will be out conquering the world full‑time during the day. We’re relaxed, kind, and love people who bring good energy — travellers, older souls who are young at heart, or lovely couples looking for a beautiful place to land.
