About the room

Tucked away in a quiet cul-de-sac, this home sits in the lovely, leafy area of West Harbour. It’s a 3-bedroom, 1-study house — I live upstairs in the master bedroom with my own ensuite, along with the kitchen, lounge, and laundry. Downstairs, you’d have 2 bedrooms and a large, beautiful bathroom, shared with one other flatmate. There’s also a downstairs study, currently set up as a study — I’m considering converting it into a bedroom and renting it out too, so there’s a chance this could become a 3-room share down the line. I’ll keep whoever’s interested posted if that changes. Since I work from home most of the week and tend to watch TV in my own room, you’ll likely have the lounge to yourself most evenings.

No fixed-term contract needed — you’re free to stay for as short or long as suits you. The only thing to note is that I’ll need the rooms back by the end of May, as I have family visiting from overseas around then, so I can’t offer anything beyond that date.

utilities are split between all flatmates (At the moment its only me so it’ll be half of the water and power bill)

The room with the garden view and door is 240 per week

The other room doesn’t have a sliding door and will be 210 per week.

If I decide to rent out the study room as a bedroom it would be 200 per week.

About the roomies

It’s just me and my very friendly dog living here full-time. My wife works away in Wellington and visits every few months for a weekend or so, so you might occasionally see her around but day-to-day, it’s just me and my dog.

As a flatmate, I’m clean, tidy, and respectful of shared spaces, I like the common areas kept presentable and I’ll do the same, but I’m not the type to hover or nitpick. I’m generally quiet, especially during the week since I work from home, and I value my own space just as much as I’ll respect yours.

I’m easy-going and not one for a long list of house rules, as long as we’re considerate of each other and the space, everything else tends to sort itself out naturally.
