Rooms available in a 3-bedroom cottage in Carey’s Bay. Two adjoining rooms will be available in early September.

Several rental options: Short-term rental (preferred): Early September to early/mid-January 2027 — you’ll have the cottage to yourself during this period. Longer-term: For the right person, I’m open to discussing a longer-term arrangement beyond January 2027.

The house is in a peaceful, family-friendly neighbourhood while still being close to Port Chalmers. Carey’s Bay is a short bike ride or drive to central Dunedin. Bus service and services close by.

• 3-bedroom cottage, with two bedrooms becoming available in early September
• $440 per week total for both rooms, plus utilities
• Utilities: Gas hot water and electric stove/oven Furnished communal areas
• Good quality electric heating in the lounge and bedrooms.
• Bedrooms unfurnished
• Off-street parking directly outside the cottage
• No port noise or excess light from Port Chalmers
• Large, wild garden with fruit trees and plenty of birdlife - a work in progress.
• Some rooms have a slight view of the harbour and morning sun - balcony and lounge gets excellent midday and afternoon sun.

I’m a visual artist and educator and have spent many years working in remote northwest Australia. I love hiking, being outdoors and challenging myself with new adventures. I’m pretty relaxed and value good conversation, but I’m also an introvert and appreciate having a peaceful place to come home to. I want my home to be a calm, wholesome place.
