About the room
My husband and I, both early 30s, are looking for another couple (or two singles) to join us in mid-September in our newly rented house in Musselburgh, which is currently signed until September 2027.
The rent will be $400 for a couple ($200 each if two singles), not including utilities, internet or household consumables.
The house is built over two levels and is currently unfurnished, although we are going to be partially furnishing it ourselves, and it has been freshly repainted, with new carpets and new curtains. The house sits on a quiet street receiving plenty of natural light with views out to the ocean.
- 4x bedrooms (1-2 available, will be unfurnished, with built-in-wardrobes)
- 2x bathrooms
- main kitchen (will be fully equipped)
- second kitchen (will be minimally equipped)
- plenty of storage space
- 4x heat pumps
- on and off-street parking
The way the house is designed, and depending on the mutual arrangement that we all agree to, you can enjoy your own private space, especially if you would prefer more independent living (although this would require more furnishing), with one of the bedrooms, one bathroom, the smaller kitchen and a living room being arranged close together further from the rest of the house.
About the roomies
About us: We are both passionate health care practitioners who have been living in Dunedin since the beginning of the year. We enjoy being out in nature and between us, our hobbies include ice skating, rowing, running, cycling, pottery and board gaming (extending to Call of Cthulhu and a love for Blood on the Clocktower). We are not party people, although may occasionally host board game nights. We also enjoy watching ice hockey during the NHL season, and will occasionally go watch the Dunedin Thunder at the Ice Stadium in St Clare.
About you: We are ideally looking to share the rent with similarly aged, responsible and respectful working professionals who are looking for a long-term arrangement. We value open and honest communication, and it is important to us that living together follows a respectful and considerate relationship. Please note that the landlord has prohibited anyone who smokes.
If this sounds like the type of house that you could make a home, then please get in contact and tell us a bit about yourself and what you believe would make a successful house-share arrangement.
Please note that final confirmation of tenancy will require approval from the landlord, with references necessary.
