Looking for a spacious home with a creative vibe, huge trees, and a peaceful atmosphere?

We have an unfurnished room available in our older style, two-story Addington house. The area is surrounded by beautiful established trees. It’s a quiet, natural retreat right on the edge of the city. The room is upstairs and has a lovely view out over the back garden and a built-in functional wardrobe.

It’s a character house, with high ceilings, quirky atmosphere and a spacious old garden with huge trees in the back yard. At the heart of our home is a large logburner in the lounge which keeps the place warm and dry through the winter months. There are also two heat pumps strategically placed to further keep the place cozy.

Our home is a relaxed, independent, considerate household. We appreciate open communication, a tidy clean living space, and we respect each other’s quiet downtime, personal space, and busy schedules. It’s a mixed-gender household. Initially you will be sharing with four housemates, a woman and three males. Ages range from mid twenties to early fifties. One of us (male) is leaving in mid September so another larger room will also be available soon. We are open to different ages and backgrounds. What matters most to us is finding someone who fits the house vibe.

Rent is $170 per week when all five rooms are filled. If there are only four of us in total, the rent is $212.50 until we find another person. Bond is $300 Additional Costs: Power and internet are split monthly. The costs of communal kitchen, cleaning and bathroom items are shared. Plus firewood.

We share the communal housework so you will be expected to do your part.

There’s plenty of space in the kitchen. Upstairs, a large bathroom with a bath, separate shower and separate toilet. Another separate toilet is downstairs.

Address is close to the CBD by car, bike. Good bus links. Walking distance to cafes and bars. Close to Hagley Park.
