Hi, we have a large room for rent with a built in wardrobe. (Room size is 367cm x 378cm). 4min walk to Westfield mall, with Hagley park & City very nearby. We are on the upper level at the back of flats which has a rooftop view of the port hills and a private lawn /garden area.

Ideal for someone independent who wants a peaceful place to land at the end of the day. Recharge.. study, think & chill in a calm environment.

This will be suitable if you value your peace & privacy and prefer having your own space to live in. (There’s no TV in the lounge). Easy to live here if you prefer a peaceful, relaxed environment. (Yes that’s right it’s not a party house). We don’t have loud music or subs. Headphones are the good alternative that gets used a lot these days.

Looking for someone mature, respectful, and considerate of others - 30years upward+ in age.

Must be working 8am-5pm in this flatting scenario.

Bills are $24 a week covering Power & Gas (& Wifi).
There will be alterations to the Bills over winter months.

The bedroom can be partly furnished. (I am prepared to help set up anything that is required in the room../even a bed).

The room will be available from Dec12th 2026.

There are 3 solo males living here of mixed age ( 30years - 55years). In a 3 bedroom flat. No couples. We are all quite independent and just do our own thing. It’s normal to head straight to our rooms at the end of the day or just after dinner from the kitchen.

In saying that we are always happy to have a pleasant chat or say a warm “hi” when crossing paths in the kitchen or over the weekend (or even just swap a courtesy hello every now & then is good). It keeps a good atmosphere in the house. (Don’t need to be like minded individuals, just friendly is fine).

The idea here is to have the flat environment as a retreat, somewhere to focus, chill or study. Not full of visitors, guests turning up etc (the house is a bit small for that anyway). Although in saying that, maybe at the right time if you must, or when the occasion suits, but with consideration to other the flatmates :)
