This self-contained sleepout is tucked away in the quiet back garden, just a 10-minute walk to Unitec (literally across the road) and ideally positioned between Pt Chevalier and Avondale. You’ll enjoy your own entrance, bathroom, and kitchenette with microwave and fridge. Fully furnished and insulated with plenty of natural light and space to relax making it cosy year-round.

The area is well connected: Only a 3-minute walk to the bus stop, with buses to the CBD in about 25 minutes. If you enjoy being close to nature there are plenty of bush reserves, walking and cycle tracks Shops, supermarkets, and cafés in Pt Chevalier are just down the road. Electricity and water are NOT included (internet is included in rent)

It’s perfect for someone wanting independence and privacy while studying, working, or exploring New Zealand on a working holiday – with the option the occasional chat and socialising . Couples are welcome. You’ll just need to be okay with dogs . $310/week - expenses not included - extra Bond + two weeks’ rent (1 week move in / 1 week in advance) Professional clean on departure (approx. $70)

I’m a busy teacher who lives in the main house. In my free time, I enjoy music, cooking, walks with my dog, and the occasional catch-up with friends. I value a clean, tidy, and peaceful home, and I’m respectful of other people’s privacy. I speak Italian and Spanish and enjoy connecting with others, while also making sure they have plenty of space and independence.
