The room has its own shower, toilet, and sink, and it is separate at the bottom of the rest of the house, so it offers a lot of privacy. House is in a beautiful location by Zealandia, with birdsong, trees, and a great balcony. There are bus stops a couple minutes down the steps: 15 min bus to town, 10/15 min walk to Kelburn shops, 20/25 min walk to Kelburn campus. There is also free street parking. Room can come with a double bed base (with built in drawers for extra storage) and mattress, clothes rack, drying rack, dehumidifier, dresser, warm rug, outdoor table and chair.

Upstairs are four other tenants, mixed gender and all second year students who work part time. This keeps everyone busy a lot of the time, but they also enjoy casual hangouts and socialising. However if you are wanting privacy the room definitely allows for this, as it can pretty much function as a stand alone unit aside from going upstairs to use the kitchen.
