About the room

Hi. The property described below is a boarding house and operates a bit like a large flat. Please take the time to tell us a bit about yourself by email if you are interested in living there.

Gadsby Lodge is a 74 bedroom residential Lodge located at 59 Gadsby Rd. It is set in large park like grounds. The property is 2 stories high and has two wings from the main living quarters. It was originally the nurses quarters for the mental hospital complex.

There are large communal spaces including kitchen, dining room, computer area and lounge with a large TV All of the bathroom facilities are well maintained there are 10 showers and 13 toilets which is plenty for the number of residents.

We have a double room available now $280 per week for 1 person or $330 for a couple.

The rooms are well maintained and furnished with a bed, wardrobe, draws, chair, 32 inch TV pantry cupboard and a fridge freezer.

The rent includes power, water, phone (toll bar), and unlimited Wifi internet access

Smoking outside only and a couple of sheltered areas are available for this.

We are looking for long term tenants. No short stays.

About the roomies

There are about 80 flatmates, with about a quarter female. About three quarters of the current tenants are working and one quarter are on a benefit or pension. The average is 50 something.
