After nearly two years, one of our original four is departing for foreign shores, so we are looking for a new addition to the flat fam! The house is a 4-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom townhouse in Avondale. The location is excellent, with Avondale train station, Pak’nSave, shops and cafés, Oakley Creek, and Unitec all within walking distance. SH16 and SH20 motorway onramps are also very close at hand.

The house is spacious and well furnished, with a mighty heat pump, fully equipped kitchen, and plenty of homely touches. Off-street parking is negotiable, or there are plenty of on-street spaces. The available room is double-sized and sunny with a built-in wardrobe (but no existing furniture). Best of all, the landlord is a family member of the head tenant, so the house gets maintained properly and will not be sold out from under you! Stability guaranteed.

Rent is $200 per week, plus expenses.

If this sounds like your kind of flat, please get in touch! We are in no rush to fill the room, so we can be very flexible with the move-in date for the right person — anytime from mid-December onwards.

We are Jono, Maud, and Felix, and we work across various industries such as software and education. We are all in our 20s and are LGBTQIA+ friendly. Whether you are quiet or like to socialise, you will fit right in; we are often busy during the week, but during our spare time we are open to company for hiking, skiing, road trips around NZ, get-togethers, or chats about nerdy topics! Equally, no problem if you prefer to be independent. We’re looking for someone very clean, tidy, and considerate — a young professional, a student… just not a party animal! Unfortunately we can’t accommodate couples, kids, pets, or smokers.
