There is parking for one extra car in the driveway, and it’s a 2-minute walk from the Remuera train station, a two minute walk to buses into New Market and the city, and a 4-minute walk from the Remuera shops.

The room features a modern ensuite bathroom was previously the guest room and is on the ground floor. It opens up into a backyard with nice fruit trees and shade.

Currently, the furniture is a bit old so we’re happy to talk about refurnishing it together for some sort of split cost arrangement if you’d like different furniture or to bring your own furniture in

Rent is $400 per week and is available for immediate move in

The context is this used to be a family home but both kids have moved out and one partner lives overseas. Now, the house is too large for the remaining partner.

The remaining tenant is a CEO of a company which means he will be out of the house most of the time. You’ll have access to the entire downstairs area (pictured) but will be asked not to use the upstairs as this is the kid’s rooms and family areas.

The house is in zone for some of the best schools in New Zealand, including Diocesan, Kings Prep, Remuera Prep, Double Grammar, and St Kentigerns.

The ideal tenant is a male who is responsible, clean and likes a friendly chat together every now and then. No parties or live-in partners please.

Hi! I’m writing this on behalf of my dad (Richard, the remaining tenant). My name is Jennifer and my brother and I have moved overseas to study. My mum works in Beijing which means that my dad is staying in a huge house and works a lot so is hardly home. We decided it makes sense to rent out the downstairs guest room.

Some information on my dad: he works a lot as he’s CEO of a couple of companies so he’s not home most of the time. He likes exercise and has a whole gym in the garage that you’re welcome to use.

He’s a pretty relaxed guy and easy to talk with. Our home is generally a quiet and clean place, so ask for that to be respected with no parties or strings of strangers brought in from the clubs.
