A great room for someone wanting to be close to the city. Would suit short or medium term stays, or a commuter wanting a place to call home during the week. The room is a fully furnished double room with ensuite and is on the ground floor of a modern 3 bedroom townhouse. There’s a small courtyard off the bedroom. It’s very private and quiet. The single wardrobe and bedroom furniture provides ample storage for your things so if you’re commuting you won’t need a large suitcase. But if you do like to travel with a suitcase there’s storage space for it in the garage so it won’t be in your way. Access to the room is through a clean and tidy internal access garage. Bedroom includes: Comfortable queen bed with electric blanket, down duvet, pillows, bed linen, towels, and extra blankets if needed • Bedside drawers • 5 drawer tallboy • 32“ smart TV • Bedside lamp The rest of the house: A modern and comfortable, warm and dry Mt Victoria townhouse. Recently renovated, it has double glazing throughout (including your room). The shared kitchen is fully equipped but if you don’t have time to cook there’s plenty of options close by. Courtenay Place is a 5 min walk. The shared living space has a 55“ smart TV, with Netflix, Neon, and Prime. The large deck looks across to Kelburn and there’s a bbq for the warmer months. Laundry facilities are in the garage including a washer, dryer (if needed), and indoor clothes line. There’s also a clothes line in your private courtyard. Price includes internet (unlimited fibre) and power (reasonable use). Unfortunately the space is not suited to couples. Parking is street/coupon only at additional WCC cost. Sorry no smokers, couples, or pets.

I’m early 50s, younger at heart. I work full time in the public service so like a quiet home life during the week. On weekends I like to get out a little and enjoy the odd mountain bike trail or e-bike to one of Wallington’s many cafés. I’m considering getting another short term flatmate for the other spare room in the house but at this stage it’s just me. My partner sometimes spends time at the house with me during the weekends if we want a quiet evening, but we also like to go out too.
