Miriam's room

Our house is under a year old. We have a lounge, dining and kitchen space to share. We also have a spare room to work from home/do sewing/reading which we are happy to share when it’s not in use. Our lovely little yard is sun drenched in the afternoon and evening.

About the space: 3 bedroom brand new townhouse with 2 bathrooms. The room for rent is an eastern facing, double room with a double wardrobe and an ensuite. Please note that curtains have been installed since, so the room has both a sheer curtain for privacy/sunlight with a blackout for evenings. Due to the staircase shape, queen beds must be frame assembled or a split base.

Location is awesome: Countdown - 2 minute walk (next door) Train Station - 4 minute walk (450m from the house, and it is a $5, 12 minute train to Wellington) Right next to the beautiful Willowbank Reserve, Ara Tawa shared path for runs and walks and SH1.

Parking: there is only one onsite park which we use at the moment, there is some street parking. We are up for negotiation if you need it as we find we don’t need a car here.

Couples: Negotiable for the right people – please note couples rent would be $320

Accessibility: the bedroom is on the 2nd storey so unfortunately not wheelchair accessible

We are 29M, 30F (couple) and 6 year old dog Marley. We both work in Wellington central (an urban designer and an environmental planner) and like board games, riding our e-bikes to work, listening to records, enjoying a yummy beer or wine and are always up for a good laugh. Marley does not work, but loves sticks, balls and swimming in rivers. She is super chill and basically a giant cat. All of us also love to go on walks!

We would like to hang out with our future flattie, but also appreciate our own space at times, so Miriam can enjoy a quiet book and Charles can catch up on his Netflix - so our ideal flatmate is similar.
