**AVAILABLE from Saturday 2 August onwards. ** We have a furnished room available with 1 Queen size bed in our character building located at top of Willis/Victoria St close to the CBD. The rent of $300/week includes power and Wifi. Shared expenses are extra but very affordable. The security deposit/ bond is $600 and I also request 1 week’s rent paid in advance at the start of the tenancy. A total of $900 payment up front and a commitment for a 3-month minimum term is required. After that a month-by-month arrangement is fine. The room is spacious and suitable for a couple. A shower is included within the room. There are 3 shared bathrooms with a toilet and hand basin, plus a communal kitchen, dining area and a couple of lounge areas. All rooms are furnished with hotel quality beds. This is a No Smoking environment inside, and outside, the building. There is no suitable space for smoking outside or around the building.

I currently have 3 young professional tenants and have some other rooms listed. I am looking for a good mix of easy-going, clean and tidy folk to share common household tasks and cleaning associated with the running and upkeep of the place. We all communicate via WhatsApp for any queries or updates. My husband Ben and I have owned this building since 2017 and operated the upstairs rooms through Airbnb until 2020. We began offering short and long-term accommodation options for travellers and kiwis in 2021 and provide a solution for people who need a comfortable place to live in a central city location.
