At this stage the downstairs bedroom will be available now until mid February 2026. Could be idea for out of town student with holiday job in Auckland city.
The bedroom is a smallish double with a single bed, good sized double wardrobe. and furnished for a student. Comfortable bedding, heater etc Towels and linen provided if you like. Fibre Internet with a good speed.
Pleasant spacious house in Milford, Auckland. Central Milford, handy to shops and bus into city. Note: the advertised price of $350 includes food and expenses.
The kitchen is spacious. You are welcome to have friends around and cook special meals with them if you like. Apart from the ensuite (for myself and husband), there are two other bathrooms (both recently renovated!). We also have a room downstairs with table tennis table, great if you’re having friends around. (Son lives here - we no longer look after the cat!) A nice deck outdoor area, so make the most of summer!

To save end of day congestion, dinner is provided. There is also food available to make your breakfast, or basic sandwiches for lunch. If studying from home, of course you’re welcome to cook lunch from food provided. As the kitchen is quite large, there’s also some room for your snacks.
Quiet off-street parking in cul de sac. On bus routes to city, etc. Auckland city is ‘across the bridge!’ Close to Milford Mall. Distance to Milford beach 1.4km.
Couple in active 60s. One son at home, in early 30s; he’s ex BCom/LLB UoA . Hopefully a young 34yr Chinese female whose been with us six months doing an academic English course will stay on next year. She will be doing a postgraduate music education course. Husband and I will be overseas for early May to mid June 2026. The cost will be $250 + $30 utilities =$280pw. You will be responsible for your own cooking, and share cleaning with son and hopefully Meisi.
We prefer a student or person in professional role. If working conventional hours, we’d be a great place to flop and ‘come home to’. However, we’re also a lovely environment for studying or working from home.
