We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Live-In Nanny/Housekeeper for a full-time solo parent of two children, a 1-year-old and an 11-year-old. This position is ideal for AUT students looking for an affordable way to study while providing childcare and housekeeping support. The role involves assisting with morning and afternoon routines on weekdays, housekeeping, meal preparation, and childcare duties.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting with morning routines (6 am - 8 am) on weekdays, including breakfast preparation, dressing the baby, feeding, and making beds.
• Helping with afternoon chores, approximately 4 flexible hours in the afternoon, around 3 pm - 7 pm. Tasks include housekeeping, laundry, vacuuming, mopping, and completing daily/weekly house cleaning tasks (full training for house cleaning will be provided).
• Cooking family meals from Monday to Thursday, following the myfoodbag recipe card. Generally starting meal prep around 4 pm / 4:30 pm, and picking up the baby (1.1 km distance) from childcare between 5 pm - 5:30 pm (childcare pickup is Monday to Friday)If you don’t have a car, it is possible to walk directly to and from the childcare but this takes 15mins each, Auckland is often wet during the colder months too.
• Caring for the baby in the evening until mom gets home from work around 7 pm. Assisting in dinner clean-up with the help of the 11-year-old and mom, if she is home, of course.
• Providing support to the 11-year-old, ensuring he is self-sufficient.
• Occasionally assisting with bath time and dressing the baby for bed.
• Assisting mom with baby duties while she prepares for work in the morning is optional but desired.

Accommodation and Benefits:

• Private bedroom and bathroom on the first floor.
• Full board option includes 5 Myfoodbag vegetarian dinner meals and 2 takeaway dinner meals provided per week, along with breakfast, lunch, and snacks.
• Accommodation can be provided as full board or room and utilities plus meals when cooked.
• The position requires living in a smoke-free family home, and no alcohol, smoking, or visitors are allowed for the au pair.

Compensation Options:

Option 1: Full Board Option (Board in Liu $500)

• 30 hours/week (6 hours/day): $250
• 20 hours/week (4 hours/day): $0 (Excluding morning help)

Option 2: Accommodation & Utilities Option (Accommodation & Utilities in Liu $400)

• 30 hours/week (6 hours/day): $350
• 20 hours/week (4 hours/day): $100 (Excluding morning help)

Monthly Babysitting Position:

• One Saturday or Sunday babysitting shift per month required from 9 am to 7 pm with a monthly rate of $200.
