The room is a large double bedroom with good sized wardrobes and it’s own ensuite bathroom. This is part of the upstairs living area in a large five bedroom property. (The two bedroom unit downstairs is separately rented). The house has been extensively modernised has double glazing, ventilation and insulation throughout ensuring proper 21st century living standards.

What I’m looking for in a flattie Non smoker and non vaper. This is a totally smoke and vape free property at all times. Someone who will respect our lovely neighbours, the other folks living here, themselves and the property. An ability to ‘walk quietly’ in the mornings and evenings is always appreciated by our downstairs residents. I’m after a single but will consider a couple. In addition to the weekly rent each flattie is responsible for twenty percent of the power bill which usually works out at forty to fifty dollars a month in summer and fifty to seventy in winter. The room is fully furnished with queen beds. All linen is provided. The rooms ideally suit folks who don’t have loads of personal stuff. The property is just a few hundred metres from the Park Island Sports Ground, the supermarket and easy access to the town centre.

I’m a laid back bloke in my sixties. I bought this house shortly before my daughter was born. She’s just turned twenty one. In the intervening years, I’ve had flatties of all walks of life from all around the world and bit by bit have been modernising the property. Now I’m an empty nester and my daughter lives out of town. If you’re younger and wonder what sharing with a bloke in his sixties is going to be like, I can supply references too! My last upstairs flattie was a young woman from Mexico. She came for a few months and stayed for two and a half years.
