The Parade

We are looking for a considerate, house trained, quiet-ish person for our Island Bay house. The bedroom for rent is regular sized, with high ceilings and a built in wardrobe. A double bed is in the room and available to buy if needed.

The house is on a flat private section right in the Island Bay village.

The supermarket and buses are straight across the street. Cafes, takeaways and library out the gate. The Empire cinema is a 5 minute walk - the beach less than ten.

The place is super cosy. It has central heating throughout as well as a heat pump.

We have nice gardens - you could easily get growing things if you fancied.

Both longterm and shorter stays are fine.

Expenses of $24.50 a week pays for: a cleaner for the bathroom, basic household cleaning supplies, toilet paper, internet, rubbish collection and a groundsman. Power and gas are an additional cost averaging out at about $20 a week.

The property is smoke and vape free.

There are three flatmates here - between 32 and 43 yrs. There’s an arty type who works at Te Papa, an office worker who is on WHV and a there’s a chef. We’re looking for a relaxed and easy person to join us. Having friends over sometimes is fine but it’s not a party house. We like a good mix of people who get along nicely.
