We have four rooms, coming available in our cosy house right in the Island Bay village.
The rooms come with a queen bed, heater, a desk, and wardrobes. One room has it’s own bathroom, and walk in wardrobe.
The rents are - $220, $230 and $280 per week.
The house is on a sunny, flat, private section on The Parade.
The supermarket and buses are straight across the street. Cafes, takeaways and library out the gate. The Empire cinema is a 5 minute walk, the beach a just a little further.
The room is available for around 6 months - possibly longer. Shorter stays would also work.
Expenses of $17.50 a week pays for: household cleaning supplies, internet, rubbish collection, and lawnmowing. Power and gas are an additional cost averaging out at about $24 a week each.
There is free on street parking available.
The property is smoke and vape free.
I live independently at one end of the huge house, with my own kitchen, living etc. I work in film - in the art department.
At the other end, where the rooms for rent are, have been three great WHV people and a PhD student - all, sadly, moving on at the same time.
I’m looking for relaxed, independent, happy, considerate people.
It’s not a party house, but friends and dinners are welcome.
