Island Bay, Wellington 6023

We have a double bedroom, available from late August, in our cosy house right in the Island Bay village.

The room comes with a queen bed, heater, a desk, and a built in wardrobe.

The house is on a sunny, flat, private section on The Parade.

The supermarket and buses are straight across the street. Cafes, takeaways and library out the gate. The Empire cinema is a 5 minute walk, the beach a just a little further.

The room is available for around 6 months - possibly longer.

Expenses of $17.50 a week pays for: household cleaning supplies, internet, rubbish collection, and lawnmowing. Power and gas are an additional cost averaging out at about $24 a week each.

There is free on street parking available.

The property is smoke and vape free.

I live independently at one end of the huge house. I work in film - in the art department.

At the other end, where the room for rent is, are three flat-mates , 30 - 45yrs. .. Heather - a PhD student. Keuvin - whv from France, and Tom - also whv, from the UK.

We’re looking for relaxed, independent, happy, considerate people to join us. It’s a friendly social house. Everyone also gets their space when they want it.

It’s not a party house, but friends and dinners are welcome.
