Room has en-suite. Modern flat in recently built complex. Private parking.

I’m moving away from Wellington for work, so looking for someone to move in to my room. It’s a three-bedroomed, very modern flat. There are three floors. Ground floor is the open plan kitchen/dining room/living room. There’s a dishwasher, washing machine and dryer with built-in extractor fan to avoid dampness. The middle floor is where Brad and Sangar’s rooms and bathroom are. The available room is on the top floor and has its own en-suite with shower.

There’s also a private off-street park at the back. Neither of the other flatmates drives so it’s all yours! There’s a little garden/bit of grass with space to grow things in pots if you wanted to. Also an outdoor clothes rack for drying clothes on sunny days.

Nice neighbourhood with families and professionals. Baker Gramercy about 4-5 minutes walk down the hill. Easy access to city, Newtown, Island Bay by walking or public transport.

Bills aren’t included but they have averaged out at $94 each flatmate per month over the last three months (internet + electricity). Brad deals with the bills.

Sangar is the lead flatmate so the agreement is with him and you pay him the rent. It’s for six months initially, which can then be renewed/extended however you arrange. The deal is if you want to move out before the end of your agreement period, you have to find your own replacement.

The communal areas are furnished, but the room itself will come unfurnished. There is a really big built-in wardrobe with plenty of storage space. I have a double air bed I’m happy to leave (for free) to tie you over if you need time to get a bed. The en-suite bathroom is a huge bonus! Has a shower with decent water pressure, sink, mirror and toilet.

It’s warm - I have a little oil heater and I haven’t needed to plug it in at all this winter. Double glazed throughout flat.

Really quiet - there are neighbours against one wall and I occasionally hear them opening and shutting their heavy wardrobe doors but that really is it.

You will be living with two male flatmates in their 20s.

Brad and Sangar are both hard-working, friendly and respectful humans. Looking for someone who tidies up after themselves and shares responsibility for things like vacuuming, buying the bin bags etc.

Not a party flat although of course happy for respectful visitors. We also all appreciate our peace, so if you’re someone who usually blasts your trance music until the early hours, this maybe isn’t the place.

Brad works in government. Sangar is doing a PhD in physics.
