Room for rent.

My partner and I are looking for someone to sublet a warm, quiet double room in our 2-bed apartment in Sandringham (a stone’s throw from St Luke’s) from December 2023.

The sublet is in a highly sought-after building in central Auckland for 20th Dec move-in. All that we would require is a minimum commitment until April 2024.

Couples are also welcome.

We live at 26 Aroha Avenue in Sandringham (https://26aroha.nz/). All the apartments are self-contained with full utilities and kitchen. They are modern, comfortable and warm with a shared vegetable garden and roof deck/hub space that has a laundry, coffee machine, pizza oven and BBQ. The building is super energy efficient and fully insulated – so much so that we barely used our panel heater last year. The hot water is (mostly) heated by the solar panels when it’s sunny and shared laundry is free for tenants to use so bills are a fraction of what you would expect in a standard rental.

Our apartment has two bedrooms and is located on the first floor which means we have a lovely balcony overlooking trees and a green area. There is high-speed Wi-Fi throughout the apartment and in the shared roof hub.

The building has a shared electric car for eco-friendly living and can be rented at a good rate.
