(Sleepout is bigger than what the photo shows) If you are a working person (or couple @ $280/wk) looking to live 10 mins from Chch city, 5 mins to the supermarket and 100m from the bus stop (Orbiter to UC 35mins), with your own personal space in a sleepout, then I may have the solution for you. I have a sleepout to rent, located on Kellys Rd in Mairehau, opposite Walters park (including playground, and ducks that love a feed of seed). You’ll be sharing the kitchen, bathroom and laundry in the main house. What you’ll get for $250/$280:

• A 24sqm space in a private lockable sleepout, with own entry from the front/side of the house. It’s securely behind the main house, fully fenced, insulated with double glazed window/ranchslider.
• A small deck that overlooks a small lawned garden, to enjoy that north/west afternoon sun.
• A raised garden bed to plant your own veggies.
• A garden shed for storage.
• You are welcome to the use of an Ecosa sofa-bed for the lounge area of the sleepout.
• A freestanding 2m tall cupboard for linen etc and a wooden clothes hanger. Inside the main house you’ll also have a freestanding cupboard to use as a pantry and/or extra storage.
• Lawns, internet, gas hot water and power are included in the rent.
• There’s off-street parking at the end of the shared driveway. We are down the end of the driveway.

Kellys Rd east end is a cul-de-sac so it’s peaceful and being across the road from a reserve with a paved walkway through to QE II highway makes for lovely walks. The neighbours are super friendly as well. I’m not after anyone expecting to throw weekly parties, but rather someone with maturity who likes their own space with the added bonus of having someone to talk to in the comfort of the lounge in the main house… wait till you lounge on the lounge suite!

You’ll be sharing kitchen, bathroom and laundry facilities in the main house with me (55) and my 10yr old small (very friendly) dog. I enjoy getting out into nature and walking my doggo. I have a great sense of humour and am pretty laid back. I have a 19 yr old son who comes to visit every now and then. He’s got a good personality and is well rounded.
