Janine's room

A lovely 3 bed cottage, with a cozy log fire in the lounge and great deck and veggie pod out the back for bbq’s and hanging out. It’s a great location, 10 minutes drive to the city and the beach, bus stop and ferry up the road and supermarket are a five minute drive . A really friendly neighbourhood with a great old world cinema, cosy wine bar, traditional tavern and restaurant all within close walking distance. .

About the room: A good size room , with a queen bed, and good light. The room has a wardrobe, beautiful chest of draws, bedside table and lamp and heater for winter. Flatmate is also welcome to bring their own bed and desk if needed. $350 single or $400 incl couples.

Preferred flatmate Easy going person who is independent and friendly. Clean and happy to help each other out when needed. We share an occasional meal , drink and walk on the beach . Must love dogs 🐕

Two flatmates : Janine - from NZ but lived most of her life in UK and Aus. Well travelled , strategy and program consultant -who loves to explore new places with the dogs , paddleboard, listen to music and international radio.

Aya: from Japan travelling round the world on one year visas working as a health coach and in hospital while she explores other cultures .

We are easy going, positive nature. We are both pretty social people, but also like our down time. We like to live in a place where people occasional come over and catch up for dinner or a cuppa, but not a big party place - just those special occasions.

We are both pretty healthy and enjoy cooking and sharing the occasional meals and sometimes we head to the beach for a walk or to the wine bar down the road for drink and bite to eat . We generally keep common living spaces tidy and clean up after ourselves , and help each other out as needed. We don’t sweat the small stuff .
