I’m looking for a boarder who wants comfortable and quiet short-term accommodation in central Wellington.

The house is the upper of two dwellings in a beautifully situated building on the cusp of Roseneath and Hataitai. It has amazing views over Shelly Bay, the airport, Hataitai, Kilbirnie, the eastern side of Mt Vic and the ridges behind Newtown. There is a lovely small garden and the living room gets flooded with sunlight in the afternoons. The house is fully furnished.

The available room is freshly plastered and painted. It gets amazing sun in the morning and looks out over greenery and a peek of the Wellington sign and Evans Bay. There is a comfortable futon in the room which is available for use as a couch or bed or can be removed if required. The room also comes with a built-in wardrobe and optional oil heater and chair.

The house is close to town, with the number 14 and 35 right outside, and multiple buses available from the shops (a ten-minute walk downhill.) Hataitai is known for its great range of takeaways and there are several bars and pubs. The house is a 10-15 minute walk to the closest beach and 30 minutes’ walk or a quick bus ride to supermarkets in Kilbirnie or the CBD. There are lovely walks right outside up in Mt Vic, and it’s a fairly quick and scenic walk into town along Grafton Rd and around Oriental Bay.

Amenities include: Dishwasher, washer, dryer, double oven, electric stovetop, heat pump, TV with Chromecast and bath.

I’m a 34 year old Wellingtonian woman and the house’s owner. I share it with my sweet and quirky cat Jenna. I’m into music, theatre, cooking and social justice. I work some of the time at home and some at the office, and have a relatively busy evening schedule with regular rehearsals. I enjoy my quiet, tidy space and would love to share it with someone who feels the same.
