Hey flat hunters!

A space will be opening in our flat in mid-March as one of our flatmates heads overseas. Our home is a 4-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom townhouse in Avondale.

About the house:

Best of all, the landlord is a family member of mine, so the house gets maintained properly and will not be sold out from under you! Stability guaranteed. The house’s location is excellent, with the train station, bus routes, Unitec, Pak’nSave, shops, cafés, and Oakley Creek all within walking distance. SH16 and SH20 motorway onramps are also very close at hand. The house is spacious and well furnished, with a mighty heat pump, fully equipped kitchen, and many homely touches. Off-street parking is negotiable, or there are plenty of on-street spaces. The available room is double-sized and sunny with a built-in wardrobe (but no existing furniture). The house is well maintained and has recently had an outside wash and new bathroom paint! Rent is $200 per week, plus expenses.

About us:

We are Jono, Maud, and Matt, and we work across various industries such as education and healthcare. Our flat is about to celebrate its third birthday! We are all in our 20s and are LGBT+ friendly. Whether you are quiet or like to socialise, you will fit right in; we are often busy during the week, but during our spare time we are open to company for hiking, skiing, road trips around NZ, get-togethers, or chats about nerdy topics! Equally, no problem if you prefer to be independent.

About you:

We’re looking for someone very clean, tidy, and considerate — a young professional, a student… just not a party animal! A person looking to move in for the long term would be ideal. If you enjoy weekend road trips and would like to get out and see NZ, that would be a bonus, since I am often looking for company for these trips! Unfortunately, we can’t accommodate couples, kids, pets, or smokers.
