Mike's room

Lovely three bedroom home situated in Trentham, Upper Hutt where myself (male young 60) and my 20 year old daughter live. There is a bus stop at the end of our street with frequent buses heading toward Upper Hutt or Lower Hutt/Wellington. 15 minute walk to Trentham Railway Station and only a 2-3 minute drive to join up with River Road which is the main highway heading towards Lower Hutt or Wellington.

Plenty of on street parking available and a space in the driveway can be arranged which has security cameras and lights.

The room being offered contains a good quality King Single bed, computer desk, two bedside drawers and a large chest of drawers, heater together with its own wardrobe. The house is well insulated, receives good sunshine and is not damp at all. I can possibly provide a TV for the room. Although there is a large Smart TV in the lounge that is currently providing sky movies and most of the basic sky channels. The lounge is largely not occupied in the evenings and does have an efficient heat pump and air conditioning If any furniture in the bedroom is not required it can be removed. Power / Internet / Broadband Wi-Fi with unlimited data is included in you board. The bathroom includes a toilet and a shower/bath. There will be a draw available for your personal use. (Toilet paper and cleaning products are provided.) Our house has a good sized living room together with an open plan dining room. Just off the lounge there is a sliding door out to a deck which is mostly covered as well as a good sized private back yard. We have two small dogs named Benji and Chino. They are very friendly and will be roaming the house as they are a big part of our small family. Sorry but we cannot accept any more pets. We are seeking someone who has a high standard of being clean and tidy. Also someone who is respectful to the existing home dwellers which in turn is offered to the successful applicant.

Hi my name is Mike (60) - I am positive, cheerful and easy to get on with. I will be home most of the time. You will normally find me working outside on the property when it is nice weather or out walking the dogs. I have a passion for music from the 80’s & 90’s. You may often find me humming while wearing ear phones. Please tell me to stop if you hear that! :) Normally I retire to my own room with the dogs to watch TV there in the evenings. Brianna (20) is out during the day most of the week studying veterinary nursing at Petone Tech. She is also often away for most of the weekends. She has an interest in fitness and swimming as well as animals and cars. She belongs to a few car groups and occasionally drag races our classic clubsport. We are reasonably quiet, tidy and respectful people and we would expect the same from a potential room mate. We are still of course happy to socialize.
