Maeike's room

The room: can fit a double bed with some shelves and comes with a built in single wardrobe. Previous tenant is willing to leave the bed.

The house: a very sunny 3 bedroom house with a beautiful view. It overlooks beautiful bush and has several walking tracks nearby. Lots of storage throughout the house plus in the garage. It has one deck and two balconies. There’s some mezzanine space that we use as a study area/reading nook. It also has two bathrooms with showers - one of them has a large bath as well. Big kitchen with massive oven and gas burners. The house is fully equipped with washer, dryer, dishwasher, radiators and furniture. And it’s insulated and has a modern heating system so is a lot warmer than majority of Wellington flats.

The location: on a major bus route (No. 14) with two bus stops close by that are only one minute walks away. City centre is a 15 minute bus ride away or a 6 minute drive. Right next to the Wadestown shops and medical centre for immediate needs!

Costs: 200 rent per week and 600 bond. Expenses are paid monthly but are about 20-25 per week in winters - this includes wifi, gas, electricity and flat essentials. Lower in summer.

The house is fully equipped with all the cooking utensils and furniture.

It’s an LGBTQIA+ and trans friendly flat. Looking for someone who likes to have a yarn or two but is also pretty chill with doing their own thing. Unfortunately, no pets allowed even though we’d have loved it.

You’ll be living with one couple (2 girls) and another girl. We’re all in our mid-twenties. Maeike and Purvai: We live in the biggest room and Purvai has been living here the longest. We like spending time at the flat cooking together and watching movies and we try our best to make the flat more eco-friendly. We recently started a flat compost bin. Shalu: Shalu lives in the room with the balcony. She also enjoys cooking and she often spends weekends at her partner’s place. She works from home one day a week.

We’re keen to set up a flat dinner every once and a while.
