About the room
We are looking for someone to move in to the master bedroom in our spacious apartment at 26 Aroha - an award winning apartment complex in Sandringham with a focus on eco-friendly, neighbourly renting.
Some of its awesome features include: a communal veggie garden, affordable guest room, EV available to hire, a shared roof hub with BBQ, pizza oven and coffee machine!
There are 13 units in the building, we know all of our neighbours and have regular movie nights on the roof, make pizza together and everyone looks out for each other.
You can read more about the building at 26aroha.nz
RENT: $360/week BOND: 3 weeks rent EXPENSES: split monthly (Wifi, Power, Water)
Available from 1st June
Ideally you’re a chill, tidy, independent working professional who doesn’t mind the odd drink and/or Netflix sesh. You’ll be sharing the flat with 2 of us, we are both women in our 30s, working professionals in architecture and fashion.
The apartment has a huge private deck (pictured) overlooking Warren Freer park and the many lovely birds that inhabit it. Interior soaks up a ton of light (and warmth - we’ve genuinely only needed to use the heater once) and the space is overall super cosy & peaceful. Westfield St Lukes is right next door to meet all your grocery/shopping needs, and we’re a 10-minute walk to the Morningside train station and the cafes/bars around Morningside Precinct.
Other notable points:
Room is unfurnished Some photos are from the original listing so furniture setup is different Flat has one bathroom and a separate toilet just outside the front door No designated parking but plenty of street parking (I can pretty much always get a spot right outside) Secure bike storage If this sounds like the place for you, DM us with a little bit about yourself and let’s set up a time to meet!
About the roomies
There are 2 of us living here, both in our 30s, we are both creative, love plants, learning te reo Māori. I think we are easy to live with and hope that whoever moves in will feel comfortable sharing the space with us. The Aroha building comes with around 30 other residents (and some animal friends) who are all lovely and welcoming.
